We are offering here an unique clasped copy of Roman Parishioner Missal book from 1861. Bound in an unique brown leather binding with two metal clasps, metal corners and metal monogram initials "JB" to the front board. All page edges Blue & Gauffered in Gilt. Front and rear paste-down accompanied by teal Moirée silk. Free endpapers also accompanied by teal Moirée silk.

 

With engraved frontispiece, chromolithograph title page and 3 engraved plates illustrated by Abbe del Lambert.

All page edges blue and gauffered in gilt; Text in French; Collation complete - Frontispiece, Chromolithograph title page, Title page, 860 pages, with 3 engraved plates; Full leather binding is tight and firm, overall in good condition, with some surface scuffings and discoloration, boards bowed and bumped, spine bumped. Pages/Text block in good condition, very bright, with occasional foxing and occaional traces of light wetting. Overall the condition of the book is GOOD.
