Much about the Gold Mines of the Transvaal and the Gold Mines of Rhodesia.
This is a very scarce title, rarely appears on auctions or online sale.
London, Waterlow and Sons, 1899; First edition; 25 x 19,5 cm; Hardcovers; Text in English; Collation complete - Folding panoramic frontispiece, Title page, [2], 317 pages, with 34 photographic b&w plates, 27 tables and 7 plans; Binding is tight and firm, spine little rubbed, corners and spine extremities bumped and little scuffed. Boards and spine sunned and partly soiled. Incipient cracking to inner hinges. Folding frontispiece partly teared/splitted at two folds, but still remain whole. Title page with some very light foxing. Otherwise, the text block/pages and all plates are bright and clean, no foxing or markings throughout, only a few pages with slight fingerprints.
