We are offering here Christian Catholic Missal book from 1883 with Engraved frontispiece, Vignette-Title page and 4 engraved plates. Each of 508 text pages are framed and illustrated with a beautiful vignettes of the different sanctuaries of the Notre Dame of France in the Second Republic style. Illustrations and illuminations designed and engraved by Ludovic Mouchot, Henri Carot, F. Meaulle & J. Massard.
Bound in beautiful brown Morocco leather binding with two ornamental Silver Clasps. Richly decorated front and rear paste-down with gilt fleurons and bordeaux Moiree silk. Free endpapers also accompanied by bordeaux Moiree silk. Limited edition's Numbered copy (N°2).

Spine with five raised bands. All page edges gilt; Text in French; Collation complete - Half-title, Frontispiece, Vignette-title page, [7], 508 pages, with 4 engraved plates; Full leather binding is tight and firm, overall in near fine condition, only with negligible bumping and a few almost invisible surface scratches. Silver clasps are well preserved and fully functional, overall in excellent condition. Pages/Text block is clear and very bright, no foxing or marks throughout, only with some age tanning. Overall the condition of the book is NEAR FINE.
