We are offering here an exquisite French Christian Catholic devotional book "Roman Parishioner lluminates" published 1860 by Auguste Leroy (Dijon). This magnificant entirely chromolithographed work containing Morning Prayers, Evening Prayers, Prayers before the Holy Mass, Prayers during the Mass, Prayers for Confession, Prayers for Communion, Proper of the Saints, Common of the Saints, etc.

Bound in a brown Morocco leather binding richly addored by ornamentations in gilt. Richly decorated front and rear paste-down with gilt fleurons and tobaco Moirée silk. Free endpapers also accompanied by tobaco Moirée silk.

With 2 chromolitograph title pages and 5 chromolitograph engravings in Color & Gilt by famous French lithographer Nicolas Auguste Leroy (Dijon). All of 504 text pages richly illustrated and illuminated with a different chromolitograph motives in Color & Gilt. Superb illuminations in chromolithographies taken from Medieval Manuscripts and Books of Hours. Letters, decorations and miniatures taken from ancient manuscripts; The text is framed with many different decorations: foliage, flowers, dragons, birds, figures, etc. All pages are printed in chromolithography on strong high quality cardboard.

Overall the condition of the book is NEAR FINE.
